Have you ever wondered where all the great fishermen bought their supplies before? Well this surfcasting how-to guide will tell you exactly which companies make the best products for the best fishermen. Just a warning in advance though, if you want the best quality then you are going to have to pay top dollar for it. There are a few ways where you can shave off most of the costs, but you will need to get secondhand equipment for it. If you do want to bite the bullet and pay the hefty prices then you will not be disappointed with the top-notch quality that these companies offer.
Penn is one of the most sought-after companies for fishing rods. If you go to any fishing pier I can almost guarantee you that one of the fishers will carry a rod made by this company. Their products range from fly fishing to deep-water Sea fishing. They make only top quality goods and have a brand name that is known by almost every single fisherman out there. If you purchase any of your equipment from Penn, you are sure to be more than satisfied with it.
Another great company that is a must-have is G Loomis. This company makes one of my favorite rods, the G Loomis surf fishing rod SUR1448C. This particular rod will run you about $400 so be sure that you know what you want before you purchase it. That being said, I’ve never been happier with this rod and recommend it to anybody that might be looking for a change of pace. It gets plenty of distance and is as light as a feather.
The final company has made fabulous equipment and can be purchased at any Cabela’s. Lamiglas is the king of fishing rods. It doesn’t matter which series you decide to go with, there will be no need to purchase any more rods from them in the future because they are so good and last so long. They also make everything else that you may need. I have personally bought all of my rods, reels, bait, and everything else you can think of from them. I do occasionally like to switch it up with different companies and see how they work together, but this is just a personal taste. As long as you purchase from Lamiglas, you are sure to get the best quality for your money.
Of course, you can buy all of this stuff at any sports retail outlets, but you can save a lot of money by looking for the same equipment on craigslist or eBay. A lot of people just want to get rid of their extra equipment and don’t mind if they get a little bit less for it. What they miss out on is what you can profit from.
